South Australian Women’s Industry Network were held the 2017 SA Seafood awards in the Riverbank Rooms of the Converntion Centre on Friday 11th August 2017. By all accounts the guests, finalists, sponsors and winner rated it a great night.

The Guest speaker was Simone Kain creator and facilitator of  “George the Farmer”.  Mark Aiston was the MC for the event.

The winner of each category will be South Australia’s entry for the National Awards to be held in conjunction with Seafood Directions being held this year in Sydney late September. 

The award categories were:

Ø  Primary Producer Award

Ø  Business Award (Large)

Ø  Business Award (Small)

Ø  Research, Development and Extension Award

Ø  Environment Award

Ø  Promotion Award

Ø  People Development

Ø  Young Achiever Award

Ø  PIRSA  Leadership Award

Ø  Seafood Experience (people’s choice)

Ø  Fish and Chip Awards (people’s choice and judged)


SAWIN is a not for profit group affiliated with WINSC (Women’s Industry Network Seafood Community) who seek to provide an inclusive environment for women of the seafood community to grow their skills and profile.
